About Fire Extinguishers
There are basically four different types or classes of fire extinguishers, each of which extinguishes specific types of fire. Newer fire extinguishers use a picture/labeling system to designate which types of fires they are to be used on. Older fire extinguishers are labeled with colored geometrical shapes with letter designations

Assembling a first aid kit
Personal safety is one of the foremost concerns each of us should have when preparing for a trip. Whether you drive a Suburban or a Samurai, some form of a First Aid Kit should be stored in the vehicle at all times. I have put together a long list of items that will be useful in one emergency type of situation or another.

Building a Custom Cage
I wanted a roll cage that would maximize interior room and provide better than stock protection. It is hard to do that with factory cages and weld in kits, so I bent my own.

CJ Roll Bar Install
I just recently finished a front roll bar install on my 78 CJ-5. This project was somewhat of a pleasure to do because it was not too difficult. I started out by ordering a Smittybuilt Sport Bar kit, the one that will fit with my CJ's dash pad. After getting it home I placed it in the Jeep for a test fit. I soon discovered that the bar was about 1.5 inches higher then the top of the Jeep's windshield and it was also narrower then I had hoped for. I suppose that since my CJ has a fiberglass body that it is possible for the floor to be thicker which may account for the excessive height. I decided to do a little customizing (as always).

Custom Full Roll Cage
The need for this project had been haunting me for some time! While there was never any question that the Full Roll Cage was a worthwhile investment, my issues were that I wanted everything to be done just right. Since this was going to be a permanent change to my Jeep's interior, I had to make sure everything was just how I wanted.

Determine Center of Gravity, and Roll-Over Angles on Your Vehicle
So often in our trail side conversations we talk about the COG (Center of Gravity) of one Jeep being higher or lower than the COG of another Jeep, and we relate this not only to the ability to get up or down a slope, but also to the dreaded thought of rolling over.
Yet most of us have never really figured out where the Center of Gravity is actually located on our own Jeep and similarly what the Rollover Angles are.
This write-up is an effort to provide a process that most folks can follow to determine, with a reasonable degree of accuracy, the Center of Gravity and Rollover Angles for their own Jeep.

Fire Extinguisher Mount
Yes, there's definetly something cool about Jeeps with fire extinguishers attached to their rollbars but these things aren'&t just for looks. A $10-$20 investment can save you thousands or prevent the total loss of your Jeep if you ever have an engine fire without one. Here's an easy and cheap way to install one on your Jeep.

Fire Extinguisher Velcro Holder
Having a fire extinguisher onboard should always be on your list of essentials, whether off-road or daily driving. You will want to have it stored in a handy place should a emergency arise and you need to act quickly. I found that using this velcro strap and attaching on the roll bar right behind the passenger seat is great place to store and does not interfere with a front or rear passengers.

Installing a Fire Extinguisher in your Cherokee
One of the things that you DON'T want to happen to your Jeep is for it to catch on fire. However, things happen and we can not always control them. All we can do is be prepared for anything that does happen. With that being said, I personally recommend putting a fire extinguisher in your Cherokee.

Preparing for and Surviving a Rollover
You may not be planning to roll your pride and joy, but not being prepared is the biggest mistake you can make. If you are a regular four-wheeler, we’ve found that it’s probably not a matter of if you’re going to roll over, but when

Raingler Net in WJ
Raingler's Cargo Net systems are very popular on the TJ's that I have seen and since I no longer have my TJ and now a WJ, that extra space needs to be just as safe, since extra gear as well as my two dogs need to be restrained in the rear....
