Hi-Lift Mount Part II "The RELO"
Well, here we are again on the Hi-Lift install. This time around I had to install the jack on the front bumper, because I just recently installed a new rear bumper from COMP4X4. The installation is straight forward and is even easier than the rear bumper hi-lift install. Basically follow the instructions I used for the rear bumper install and you will have no problems. Homemade Hard Top Hoist
After looking around at the various top hoists on the market and hearing about the questionable quality of some of them I decided to build my own. The pre-made hoists sell anywhere from $160.00 to $230.00. I was able to put together my own setup for around $70.00. Domain: http://www3.mtco.com Rating: (4/5)

Installing a Lite Grip mount
In Moab this year at the Mapgear.net booth, we found the coolest product! It goes by the name Lite Grip, and it's the perfect accessory to keep your Maglight Flashlight from rolling around in your Jeep. I saw this and bought two for my Jeeps! The Lite Grip is machined from a chunk of billet aluminum. Once the shape is machined, a threaded knob is added to securely hang on to your Maglight. As you can see from the photo above, my flashlight has been bouncing around my Jeeps for years! Domain: http://www.4x44u.com Rating: (0/5)

Jerry Can Modifications
Tired of your "Blitz" can not blitzing very fast? Finding yourself holding your jerry can forever as the gas slowly trickles into your tank? Wait no more, as this easy inexpensive fix will have the gas flowing like it should. What this fix will do is replace that tiny air hole with a larger hole and will prevent massive amounts of fuel from spilling onto the ground or all over the side of your vehicle.

This is a sweet storage unit for safely stowing away an axe & shovel in the back of a Jeep Wrangler with minimal room loss. Best of all, the rear seat doesn't need to be removed. Domain: http://www.moabjeeper.com Rating: (0/5)

M-416 trailer Project
I have always been a Jeep nut and really enjoy off-roading and camping. In Oct. of 2001, I bought my third Jeep, a 2002 Wrangler X. I also currently own a 1950 CJ-3A. I was reading up on some Jeep sites and found that many people have used old military "Jeep" trailers to tow behind their 4x4. As I found there were a number of resources on-line for this kind of thing, I decided that I wanted one of my own. Domain: http://vegasauto.net Rating: (0/5)

TJ Gun Rack Install
Because the area in which I Jeep (southcentral Alaska) is heavily populated by brown and black bears, I don't like to leave the pavement without a firearm of appropriate stopping power. When I get to a place where I want to park the Jeep and continue on foot, I don't want to have to mess with getting my weapon out of a gun case or whatever, I want to grab it, load it, and go; this means I need a gun rack in which to carry it. Underhood Hi-lift Installation
This is just a quick rundown on the latest tinkering I did yesterday. Keep in mind that putting the jack under the hood will only work if you have the 48" version.
Items needed:
u-bolts - 2"x5/16" stainless steel - 2 total
rubber tie down - 8" - or the equivalent (velcro straps work well too)
rubber tape - used as anti-chafing wrap on the radiator support rods
1. Open the hood and lay it back all the way to the windshield. Disconnect the battery terminal - even though this job has nothing to do with the electrical system it's always a good practice to get used to do doing. Besides, after you pull the terminal, you'll want to lay something over the battery to keep from bumping the jack against the top (I just used an old flannel).
