Engine Swap Info
The Following material has been put together in an effort to assist individuals interested in swapping alternative engines into their vehicles. This initially started with my interest in swapping a diesel engine into my 1995 Jeep Wrangler. Over time, and with the help of many others, this list has grown into what you see currently. Because there is an unlimited list of engine swap possibilities, this site should always be considered a work in progress!

Jeep Adventures Under the Hood
These pages are intended for those like myself who live in states where an annual E-Check is required to get license tags, and for those who are just plain mystified when they look under the hood and wonder what all that stuff does.
There is some technical information here, but the mechanically challenged like myself will find easy explanations for most of the emissions freedenoids under the hood, and for the operation of the evil computer. Where possible, "Quick and Dirty" checks have been included that can be done without test equipment.
Novak Guide to Clutches, Linkages & Bellhousings
The purpose of this article is to make you aware of how the clutch and its linkage system works and how to apply this to Jeep conversion installations. If you take the time to understand the information herein, and set up the linkage according to the following procedures, you will end up with a satisfactory clutch system. Some of the following information seems basic and other information is some that you would seldom see in print. First is a list of the parts; then a description of the function of these parts; followed by modifications; then troubleshooting.
Parts of the conventional clutch are: Flywheel, pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bushing, clutch release bearing, clutch release fork or arm, release arm pivot, bellhousing and clutch linkage.
