Gently push the star washer down. I did not put much force down on the washer. Im counting on the washer to keep just a little bit of RTV until I torque down the yoke with the nut. Place another thin bead of RTV into the splines of the out put shaft. Make sure you press RTV into the splines with your finger because thats where we want the RTV to sit. KEEP in mind you DO NOT want a lot of RTV on the shaft. You DO NOT want RTV to get pushed into the SYE because the splines do not have much clearence and clogging up your oil pump can be a very bad idea. Reinstall your yoke and torque down the nut with some lock tight to 150flbs. Reinstall your drive line and your all done. |
