LED Tail lights page 3

This is the diagram I made and followed for 4-inch LEDS and the 2-inch regular bulb lights

This is what you could use if your just sitting in 4-inch LEDS

Took the ends and soldered them to insure they do not seperate.

wrap the solder with some heat shrik tube and hit it with a heat gun.

This is what the harness looks like after its down. The end on the right is from the stock harness that was cut from the orignial tal light. Top red plug is from my 2-inch white reverse lights. The black plug below is from the 4-inch LED tail lights. The end one on the left is ground.

Push each groment until it seats flush and tight.

Plug in the stock wiring harness into the Jeep harness. push the 2-inch light wire up and out through the front and connect. Push the 2-inch light into the groment until it seats flush.

The 4-inch LED is a bit tougher to seat. Plug in its harness.

This is what it looks like plugged up and connected.

Reach up under the fender and you will gain access behind the tub.

Feed the LED from the rear of the tub towards you. You will have to push at the top from the outside and push low from the inside. There is a lip on the inside of the tub that the LED sits flush up against. Its a bit tough, but well worth it when its all done.

Im aware this is a bad photo, but looking up inside your passenger fender you see that black ribbed wire to the right? Reach up inside and you will feel two plugs that are actually plugged into the inside of your cab. The two bumps your rear gate connects to when your tail gate is closed.

These are the ends. Your going to cut the ends as close as possible and then connect the wiring from the 3rd Tail light kit from Offroad Only for your 3rd Tail light.

Complete wiring diagram for 4-inch LEDS, 2-inch lights and Offroad Only 3rd tail light/license plate light.

You will also use a license plate relocation kit from RockHard, the 3rd tail light itself

First push the backing plate onto your carrier. I just happen to have a LoD, but they have multiple holes for different lug patterns.

Now I had a small section on my wheel stud that didn't have any threads. I also wanted to secure the backing plate against the carrier so the plate didn't rattle while connected.

Two lock washers and a nut.

Tightend it all down and Someday I'll do the top two. =)

Now there is a small thumb screw that needs to be inserted at the bottom just near the very end of the backing plate.

Remember that wiring we where talking about earlier? It comes down from my passenger fender and its going to run up the hinge to the center of my spare tire.
