sPOD Panel, Harness and Relay strip

There are 4 mounting holes in the assembly as well as the mounting bracket. Use the longer screws and washers to connect and secure to the windsheild.

If you look closely you will notice that I have scraped some paint off. I failed to use the washers when I was installing the panel for the first time. Opppps.

Finally the panel is somwhat installed.

Coming out the passengers side is the wiring loom that is left loose until we pull it to the engine compartement.

Just run the wire loosely along the windsheild

Down the windsheild through the small opening between the dash and the windsheild frame

I found it easier to pull the speaker off with the two screws.

Remove the two upper and lower screws supporting the speaker.

Now you have a HUGE opening to stick your arm up inside to mess with the wiring. You could of dropped the wiring down directly behind the dash, but I wanted it to snake down as close as possible to the passenger keeping the slack to a minimum.

After I pulled all the wiring down I then pushed the wiring back in towards the the front and passengers side of Jeep as possible behind the air ducts and wiring.

The instructions mention if need be to wrap the end of the wiring with some masking tape to keep the wires from hooking on things. I was careful and skipped that step.

Next I flipped open the hood as far as I could so I could work closest to the firewall without smacking my head on the hood. Dont ask, but I've done it many times. Smacking my head that is.

The underhood terminal block mounts just in front of the battery above the Jeeps computer.

Both sides of the terminal have 3 holes for mounting

Loosen the top screw with a 7mm socket on both sides of the computer.

This is all thats holding the Jeeps computer along the firewall. A sheetmetal screw.
